DESCRIPTION:Please join us our October 13th virtual Brain Food event\, Ethical Challenges in Healthcare Leadership\, with CHRISTUS CMO Mark Anderson\, MD. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEthical challenges arise in all aspects of healthcare and service\, from the bedside to the boardroom. Understanding the expanding paradigm of planning\, creating\, and maintaining an ethical healthcare organization is crucial to help identify strategies for implementing ethics initiatives within your own organization and how an organization has addressed ethical challenges. Healthcare leaders must “walk the talk” and demonstrate their commitment to ethics throughout their organization.\nDr. Mark Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona\, Tucson\, Arizona. His background includes completing his residency in Emergency Medicine\, serving as Chief Resident in Columbia\, South Carolina followed by 3 years as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center\, Denver\, Colorado. \nHe moved with his family to Tyler Texas in 1991. Since then he has served the Tyler community and CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances as President Medical Staff\, Chair Medical Executive Committee\, Medical Director Emergency Care Center\, Medical Director Flight for Life\, Associate Medical Director Champion EMS\, and Medical Director Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program. He also served on the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Board of Directors for nine years and as Chairman CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Board for five years. \nAfter working in emergency medicine for nearly three decades\, in 2017 Dr. Anderson took over the role of Chief Medical Officer and Vice President Operations CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. In January of 2020\, he returned to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System in Tyler and assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital where he has provided not only strong leadership but is responsible for driving performance to meet all system quality goals. \n\n\n\n  \n  \nRegister Here
